I received the most gut-wrenching news this last May when I was diagnosed with triple negative, Stage 3 breast cancer. I was told it was aggressive and had spread to my lymph nodes. I’ve gone through 8 rounds of chemotherapy and am currently recovering from a mastectomy. Next, will be radiation, a hysterectomy, followed by reconstruction surgery.
I’ve been blessed with the most amazing fiancé, Alec, who has been my rock and has been by my side every step of the way. We also have our amazing 3-year-old daughter, Haisley, who is our entire world.
All of this has taken a major toll on me, both physically and emotionally. It’s a little uncomfortable being on the receiving end of such a beautiful gift, but we are extremely grateful and appreciative. I want to thank My Happy Haven from the bottom of my heart, for you are an amazing organization, and Mason City Clinic for their financial donation to make this happen for us.
